Aren't there any dancers willing to admit their age or how long they have been dancing. Is it true old dancers never die they just fade away???
There is so much we can share here.
I am very excited my daughter is going to dance professionally on a regular gig, WOW the Next Generation!
Any of you have children dancing Belly dancing that is???

I have two sons, who used to follow me around dancing when they were little. Now, they don't dance with me, but they still think I'm pretty cool, which is a compliment especially from my oldest who is starting to not want his mom around so much...all the girls in his class tell him he has a cool mom :)

My youngest son is into drumming, and I would love for him to drum when I am dancing, but he is pretty shy about doing this. In our tribe most of us have kids, and sometimes they join us when we practice. We now have drummers as part of our tribe, so practicing together at our homes, with all of the kids around, seems a natural way to introduce them to all of this. Maybe this way, my son will become more confortable drumming with others to guide him. Fingers crossed :)

That is exciting news about your daughter! Best of luck to her!

P.S. I don't intend to fade away..."Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather skid in sideways, champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO' what a ride!!!"

Actually I am here because I am the second generation :) Been dancing all of my life, thanks to my mom raising me right :) We dance together, and are in the same troupes.
